The portal of the ACM (Association of Computing Machinery) offers access to the ACM Digital Library and the Guide to Computing Literature. The ACM Digital Library you will find the online version of the 40 ACM journals and all ACM proceedings, transactions and other ACM publications with archive. In the Guide to Computing Literature there are more than 750,000 references of non-ACM works.

The UU's digital scientific archive. The archive contains documents (theses, articles, reports, monographs, etc.) produced by scientists at Utrecht University. The majority of the documents are available in full text and are freely accessible via the archive.

InTechOpen offer online access to a few journals and 300 e-books in Biomedicine and Science, especially in the discipline of Information and Computing sciences.

JCR provides a ranking on the basis of factors such as impact (with a 5 year trend) , immediacy index and cited halflife for 10,000 journals. The citation information is taken from the Science Citation Index and the Social Sciences Citation Index, and is mostly used to rank the relative importance of journals with their subject categories.
In the starting menu, select "JCR Science Edition", or, "JCR Social Sciences Edition".

JSTOR offers full-text access to an archive database of ca. 700 English-language journals in various disciplines. All volumes (including the earliest) are available and can be searched in full text; the most recent years are not included in this archive due to copyright. Index of millions of publications that have become available for free through the Open Archive Initiative (OAI). These are mainly in publication repositories of universities and in the growing number of free Open Archive journals. Many of these publications are not in regular journal databases.
In principle OAIster covers all subjects. For all publications there are links to the full text.

Omega gives access to the electronic collection of Utrecht University, and searches most of the electronic journals, and all e-books, electronic theses, etc. You will also find cartographic material, and a large number of web lectures from LectureNet; access to these web lectures is limited to Utrecht University students and staff.
N.B. It is not possible to search all electronic journals. Via the tab Journals you will find a survey of all electronic journals available in Utrecht University Library.

The Directory of Open Access Repositories. OpenDOAR is an authoritative directory of academic open access repositories. As well as providing a simple repository list, OpenDOAR lets you search for repositories or search repository contents.

Oxford Reference Online Premium brings together language and subject dictionaries, encyclopedias, maps, quotations and reference works across various subject areas into a single cross-searchable resource.
It is possible to make a search toolbar in your browser via the homepage of Oxford Reference Online.

PiCarta searches the Dutch Central Catalogue NCC, Online Contents and a number of bibliographical databases with a single search question. These sources can also be accessed separately through the 'Other databases' menu. You can restrict the search result to specific types of publications with 'Search options'. Hits can be sorted according to relevance or publication year. Consult the help function for advanced searches.

RefWorks is a web-based bibliographic management service. It allows users to create personal citation databases by importing references from text files or online databases. RefWorks is similar in function to software products such as EndNote, Reference Manager, and ProCite. It differs in that personal databases are stored on the RefWorks server and can be accessed through the University Library institutional account from wherever the user happens to be.
For your first visit, you will have to create an account name and password. Once you have created an account, use Refworks from anywhere.
